Little Big Town logged a career milestone this week when the group landed its first No. 1 song on the Nielsen SoundScan Digital Country Songs Chart with “Pontoon.”
The summertime boating song sold 86,000 copies this week, 19 percent more than last week. “Pontoon,” written by Natalie Hemby, Luke Laird and Barry Dean, is already inside the Top 20 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart and is the fastest rising song of the band’s career. With more than 430,000 digital downloads of the song sold, “Pontoon” is on the verge of going gold. “Pontoon” is the lead single from Little Big Town’s upcoming fifth album, which is due in stores in September.
